SIMENA Takes the Cover of Yacht Türkiye
July 2026 - News
ARES Yachts’ 62-metre flagship sailing yacht SIMENA takes the cover of Yacht Türkiye’s June 2026 issue, accompanied by an extensive feature exploring her design, craftsmanship, hybrid technology and significance for Turkish yacht building.

SIMENA has been featured on the cover of Yacht Türkiye’s June 2026 issue, where she is introduced as “62-Metre Giant: SIMENA” and recognised as a new showcase of Turkish yacht building on the international stage. The cover is followed by an extensive editorial titled “Türkiye’s Largest Mega Sailing Yacht: SIMENA.”
The feature explores the story behind the 62-metre modern-classic ketch, highlighting the vision, design and engineering that shaped SIMENA. Her exterior design by Taka Yacht Design brings together the graceful lines of classic sailing yachts with the requirements of contemporary cruising, while her steel hull and composite superstructure reflect the breadth of ARES Yachts’ engineering and production capabilities.

As the article describes, SIMENA was conceived as “a modern interpretation of timeless design”. Her expansive deck areas, mahogany detailing and classic sailing proportions are balanced by contemporary spaces created for comfort, socialising and life at sea.
Inside, Design Unlimited continues this philosophy with a refined yet welcoming approach. Natural materials, warm tones and carefully considered detailing shape the interiors, while generous guest spaces and the full-beam Owner’s Suite reinforce SIMENA’s character as a yacht designed for extended journeys.
The feature also highlights the technology behind her traditional silhouette. SIMENA’s hybrid propulsion system combines diesel and electric power with multiple operational modes, including the ability to generate energy while sailing. With a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at nine knots, she has been designed with long-distance cruising firmly in mind.
SIMENA’s appearance on the cover of Yacht Türkiye, together with the extensive feature dedicated to her story, marks another significant milestone for ARES Yachts and celebrates a project that brings together Turkish craftsmanship, engineering expertise and the enduring spirit of classic sailing.
